Ten years after his breakthrough smash, ADRENALINE RUSH, Chi-Town's fastest and most furious rhymer, Twista, returns with a sequel. Relying on longtime producer Toxic and newbie beatsmith Cuzo for the bulk of the album, Twista manages to evoke the breakneck feel of the original while dabbling in more radio-friendly fare alongside R. Kelly on "Love Rehab" and the Neptunes-produced "Give It Up." Twista cleverly reworks some classic Melle Mel and Sugarhill lyrics on "Say Say" while showing comedic skills interpreting a racetrack announcer and auctioneer on the skit "What Would Twista Do If He Wasn't Rappin." Lil Wayne, Cee Lo, Jazzy Pha, Big Zak, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and T-Pain are also featured.
Vibe (p.133) - "It's a brave new world -- one where Twista's flow rides beats that push it faster rather than slow it down."
Chicago rapper Carl Mitchell, better known as Twista, once made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's fastest rapper (not for nothing was his original moniker Tung Twista). An influential artist since the early 1990s, Twista combines his lightning-quick rhymes with a combination of Southern jeep beats, East Coast gangsta themes, and West Coast G-funk. In the notoriously fickle rap world, he's prospered through several different eras of hip-hop, collaborating with everyone from Puff Daddy to Timbaland and always keeping his name in the game.
