With TiVo Stream, you can start watching a show you haven't even recorded yet. With the press of a button, you can begin Recording a show and instantly start watching it anywhere within your home network. It's as good as live TV on your iPad.

TiVo Stream is a transcoding device that seamlessly delivers content stored on any TiVo Premiere series DVR to alternative viewing devices such as the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. It allows for simultaneous Streaming of recorded content to as many as four devices around the home. It also allows users to Download programs for viewing out of the home.

Unlike other streaming devices on the market, TiVo Stream is the first device to enable the streaming or downloading of recorded shows to multiple portable devices around the home without interrupting what is playing on the television. The power of TiVo Stream also enables users to transfer shows to their mobile device for viewing on the go, adding convenience and flexibility to the TiVo experience.

In order to use TiVo Stream you must: Own a TiVo Premiere series DVR running Software version 20.2.1 or later. Both the TiVo Stream and the DVR you wish to use with it must be connected to either an Ethernet or MoCA router. NOTE: The TiVo Stream does NOT support the following network types: wireless, Ethernet over Power, dial-up (phone), crossover network, or a business network.

TiVo Stream will not work if unauthorized modifications have been made to the iOS on the mobile device (also known as "jailbreaking")

Your iPad, iPhone and iPod touch running iOS5.1 or later, and must download or update the TiVo App. To stream or download shows from your TiVo Premiere series DVR, you'll need the latest version of the TiVo App. If you don't already have the TiVo App, download it from the App Store and install it on your device now. If you already have the TiVo App, make sure it's up to date (with no updates pending).

TiVo Premiere DVR and service subscription required and sold separately. MoCA or Ethernet connection required. iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch running iOS5.1 or later required and sold separately. One TiVo Premiere series DVR is capable of streaming up to three shows at once. Two Tivo Premiere series DVRs required to stream four shows simultaneously. Ability to stream multiple shows is also dependent on factors including Bit rate, resolution, Screen Size and available bandwidth. Not all programs may be transferred using TiVo Stream due to the use of copy protection mechanisms.
