All the existing speakers and clock radios with traditional 30-pin connectors are incompatible with the new iPods and iPhone 5. The new models changed to the Lightning adapter. As you buy these new models, should you toss away your old iPhone/iPod docks, speakers, and radios? Of course not! The iLive Blue Bluetooth Receiver is an adapter that you attach to the 30-pin dock to Stream Music to the speaker from any Bluetooth device.

The iLive IAB53B pairs with any Bluetooth device and opens broader opportunities to stream music to the speaker or Sound system that has a traditional dock. That means, if you have an iPhone 5 or new iPod models, you can continue to enjoy the sound from your speakers.
