Boston Acoustics Horizon Trio is a compact Stereo CD radio system that combines the best qualities of a CD player and speaker system with an LCD Digital alarm clock and AM/FM radio in a single unit. To expand the Horizon Trio’s capabilities even further, you may purchase an Optional HRD-i iPod Dock. Like all Horizon tabletop Music systems, the new one-piece Trio features a unique “soft touch" cabinet design and molded controls, soft blue backlighting, and a perforated metal front grille. These features reflect Boston Acoustics’ “Play Smart" attitude that combines contemporary design with extraordinary performance. The slot-loading CD drive allows CD and MP3 playback and the unit’s precision AM/FM Tuner provides noise-free reception of even the weakest stations.
The stereo Trio model features dual high performance 3 ½ -inch full-range speakers, for clean full range performance and room filling sound. Line and stereo Headphone outputs add to the convenience and flexibility, along with dual independent alarm clocks with sleep timers. For outstanding Audio performance, Trio features advanced BassTrac audio Processing for clean bass at all listening levels. Further enhancing audio quality, Trio features full-range Drivers and dual independently tuned acoustic chambers, all of which contribute to a very expansive sound from a relatively small unit.
The entire front aluminum trim of the radio is a touch-sensitive snooze bar, which lets sleepy users activate the alarm clock snooze function by simply touching any part of the aluminum trim. With this snooze bar users never again have to worry about fumbling around in the dark to find the snooze button - which means more sleep and less stress!
