Performer: Djavan
Distributor: EMI Music Distribution Notes: On his 1981 album, SEDUZIR, Brazilian performer Djavan offers up a buoyant set of Portuguese-language pop. Down Beat - 4 Stars - Excellent
Djavan emerged in the 1980s to achieve success well beyond his native Brazil, playing a mixture of traditional Brazilian rhythms and a more global pop style. On more recent work he has often sung in English and performed with North American musicians, which has contributed to his heightened stateside appeal.
