Born at the turn of the '70s and weaned on the soul and funk of the era, Warren Griffin III quickly honed his musical skills as part of the hip-hop group 213 with friends Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg. Following some skirmishes with the law, all three found time in the spotlight when G's half-brother, Dr. Dre, discovered solo stardom with THE CHRONIC. After producing for the likes of 2Pac, G found individual success behind the mic thanks to the massive smash "Regulate" off the same-titled album, which featured Nate Dogg as well. G has continued to churn out the occasional LP, although he has yet to attain the platinum-selling success of his debut.
