Notes: Audio Remasterer: Herb Powers. An impassioned live album by gospel singer and preacher Donnie McClurkin, WE ARE ALL ONE: LIVE IN DETROIT contains extended live takes of songs from throughout McClurkin's decade-plus career, along with brief, pointed sermons and homilies. Highlights include "That's What I Believe," "Wait on the Lord," and the title track.
Contemporary gospel performer Donnie McClurkin emerged on the gospel scene with his 1996 self-titled debut album, which featured the hit single "Stand." Though his career has not been without political and personal controversy (McClurkin is affiliated with the controversial "ex-gay" movement, and admits to having fathered a child out of wedlock), he remains a hugely popular figure on the contemporary black gospel scene. His most popular albums include 2005's Grammy-winning PSALMS, HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS.
