Comments about Denon Denon Fully Automatic Turntable DP-300F:

This is a very nicely made entry level turntable. Stock, as it comes out of the box, the sound is in line with its price. However, if you change the cartridge for something better (say one of Denon's own higher end mc cartridges, Grado, Ortophon etc.) it's a big upgrade. Also, a stand alone phono preamp will sound better than the one built in. Finally, some form of isolation (cones, vibrapods, etc) will improve sound over the stock plastic feet. Each of these upgrades pushes the performance to a higher level.

Comments about Denon Denon Fully Automatic Turntable DP-300F:

I wanted something to listen to on a regular basis, not to use just once to make MP3 files, so it was important to me that my turntable be high quality. I bought this last fall after doing quite a bit of research. I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I love good music and I mostly listen to the newly reissued jazz 180grm vinly on my Denon turntable and for the life of me I can't understand the reviews that say the needle isn't worth much. The sound I have been listening to from this turntable and these new lps has been amazing. I love this turntable and want to show it off to all of my friends. It is beautiful to look at, it has a nice heft to it so it feels like a quality machine and I especially like that it has an automatic return arm as I like to fall asleep listening to music. I have not changed any of the turntable's original elements and I love it! A friend of mine has bought this same product based on my recommendation (and his fond memories of playing vinyl as a kid)!

Comments about Denon Denon Fully Automatic Turntable DP-300F:

This unit has a great build quality to it, provides a flexible tonearm that can be adjusted, and provides an easy disconnect for the head shell. Plinth is sturdy and mutes vibrations well. Unit is easy to assemble, use, and upgrade. The Denon cartridge and stylus are mediocre, and you may want to upgrade the feet as well. They're a basic rubber footing. I would have liked to have seen a more solid base to dampen vibration.
