This camcorder is specifically designed for use with PAL TV systems. The majority of countries using PAL have television Standards with 625 lines and 25 frames per second. Any differences concern the Audio carrier frequency and Channel bandwidths that vary from region to region. Standards B/G are used in most of Western Europe, standard I in the UK and Ireland, standards D/K in most of Eastern Europe. Capturing and sharing your Video has never been easier. The Sony DCR-SR85 60GB Hard Drive Memory Stick® Hybrid Camcorder has up to 40 hours of Recording time in LP mode while a Memory Stick® media can add up to an additional 325 minutes in LP mode of record time, giving you that extra cushion if you needed it. Record to the camcorder's internal hard Disk drive, or choose instead to record to removable Memory Stick® Duo media or Memory Stick® PRO Duo media. Use the included Handycam® Station for One Touch Disc burn when connected to your PC via a USB cable. The SR85 also features a built-in Zoom MIC for exceptional audio, a Quick On button so you never miss the big moment, 25x Optical zoom, a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens for Professional quality recordings and a 2.7" touch panel Clear Photo LCD display with 211,000 Pixel resolution. Sony's Super SteadyShot® Image stabilization helps reduce image shake due to normal hand movements.
