Joe Trohman is the energetic lead guitarist for pop/punk group Fall Out Boy. In 2001, Trohman (at the crusty age of 21) formed the band Fall Out Boy along with close friend Pete Wentz. Each had been active in the Chicago hardcore scene and Joe had filled in as a bassist during a tour with Wentz' band Arma Angelus. This guitar is part of Washburn's signature series.

The Joe Trohman Washburn Idol is a modern electric single cutaway style guitar. Tones ranging from punishing to pristine spring from dual humbuckers and the innovative Voice Contour Control. VCC is a unique coil splitting system that allows players to incrementally blend humbucking and single-coil pickup sounds without the hum normally associated with single-coils. The set maple neck has a fast profile, comfortable neck joint, rosewood fretboard, and 22 medium-jumbo frets and Grover tuners to keep you in tune.
